Are You a Quality Leader?

Quality leaders in Disability Management demonstrate expertise and commitment in areas such as:

• Return-to-work programs that help ill/injured employees transition back to the workplace
• Stay-at-work services to prevent absence and reduce claim costs
• Data analytics that include measurement of employee satisfaction and return-on-investment
• Absence management that includes integrating FMLA  administration and other types of leave
• Health and productivity management that recognizes the value of prevention and promoting employee health and wellness

About the Quality Leadership Award

The Quality Leadership Award is presented annually by the CDMS Commission to an organization that demonstrates leadership in promoting excellence, creativity, and progressive thinking in the area of disability management.

Nominees may be a for-profit or not-for-profit company, or a public agency that meets the following criteria:

1. Has implemented a successful disability management program that includes:

• Integrated return-to-work strategies for both occupational and non-occupational disability
• Has a broader absence management focus
• Promotes health, wellness, and productivity of the workforce  

2. Demonstrates creativity in implementation of a corporate disability management program.

3. Utilizes the services of certified individuals, preferably Certified Disability Management Specialists,
    either as employees or on a consulting basis. Programs that hire or are managed by other credentialed
    professionals will also be considered.
