The CDMSC Advantage

CDMSC continually works with industry leaders in order to provide the best in integrated disability management.

In fact, according to the CDMSC’s latest Role & Function Study, employers that have used disability management to control costs and absences for workers’ compensation cases are applying these strategies to other disability-related absences.

Through Integrated Disability Management, practitioners combine traditional tools and strategies, such as job analyses and return-to-work (RTW), with other workplace programs. The goal is to identify, address, and prevent unscheduled employee absences—and promote productivity.

Key components of Integrated Disability Management includes:

  • RTW programs to assist workers who are ill and injured, whether due to occupational or non-occupational causes, to return to productivity

  • Wellness and prevention programs to prevent injuries and illnesses from occurring, and to improve recovery times

  • Disease management to provide services to groups of employees who have or are likely to face specific health concerns that lead to absences—as well as increased consumption of healthcare benefits

  • Employee assistance programs (EAP) to address behavioral health issues including depression that can affect worker productivity.

Integrated Disability Management requires greater interaction and collaboration across a variety of workplace productivity initiatives. Disability management is the cornerstone, facilitating greater collaboration among specialists in several fields to improve employee health and wellness and increase workforce productivity.
